TYPES OF DANCES IN THE 20TH TO 21ST CENTURIES

1. CREATIVE DANCE – allows the dancers to improvise on the pattern of movement.

2. SOLO DANCE –Performed by a single dancer to demonstrate a particular technique or style of dancing.

3. GROUP DANCE –Includes folk dance, ballroom dancing, and ballet.

4. ETHNIC DANCE – Indigenous dance of a community or locality.

5. BALLROOM DANCE – a social dance performed by couples or group of couples.- A couple’s dance

6. THEATRICAL DANCE – classical dance like ballet performed by highly-trained dancers.
