– Easy access, fast and accurate retrieval• Information delivered has to be specific &
exclusive. Not just wild guesses

– Information has to be free• If required to pay for anything, it has to be dirt
cheap (materials as well as technologies) because it’s the “library”
– Any technology (for end user) has to be User friendly
• Some parts of the Library has to be ready 24/7

What are expected from the Library Communities
– If digital and solution orientation is the way to go (diffusion of innovation theory, Rogers, 1962). Libraries will have to work on:
• Changing of mindset (user first)– Change Management to inculcate solution oriented
culture
– Upgrading Manpower
» Technically savvy workforce
» Content Specialist and Solution Provider (require good network with experts in various fields all over the universe)

• Networking and MOA (national and international)- to collaborate and share digital collections with libraries all around the world to ensure that information, knowledge and solutions are available at your fingertips

(university has abundant) in various Niche area
• Be vibrant against lengthy copyright regime
• Environment has to suite and friendly to meet the needs of users (has to bear in mind that there are various categories of users)
– Work hard to ensure that users have had quality times and fun experiences at the library
