Matthew 28 v 16-20

Matthew 28:16-2016 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to

which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the

Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am

with you always, to the end of the age.”

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”

Am I sure that Jesus has all authority?

What difference does that make for me?

He was sure of his own authority

Scripture confirms it

Daniel 7:14

“He was given authority, glory and a kingdom; that all peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall never be destroyed.”

Matthew 28:18-20

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Colossians 1:13“He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought

us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Am I sure that Jesus has all authority?

Luke 10:19“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and

scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
