SDD Workshop: Day 1 Review

Listening and sharing well facilitated

Using resource presentations via different approaches implemented

Listed expectations & dissections of sex dimensions

Discussed gender dimensions thru group formations and visitations

Presented views of gender dimensions to build foundations for SDD and how to address such to meet expectations of countries and the United Nations.

But..it was not all work! Made connections And were entertained with

good protection

Where gender norms of equality and equity was observed!

Women power! vs. Men power!

But assisted by good liquid and food….

Gender interactions in different orientations was facilitated

Where many a talent was brought out in action leading to discovery of different “SDD stars”!

The “singing nuns”! The Thai, Burmese, Filipina, Sri Lankan and Cambodian “all stars”!

Whether in song, dance and actions

From Burmese……. Korean & Chinese stars too!

In conclusion: For all Day 1 progress the workshop hosts applaud!

The future of SDD data for South East Asian & East Asian sub-regions is assured in good “SDD network” hands! GO YE AND MULTIPLY!!

Key gender concepts Group discussion Information on GASF and WCA 2010

Room for improvement….

Meeting room is too cold! Too short breaks Practice on group presentations Some concept may not be applicable to participants’

countries Would like to learn about more techniques to apply

for data collection and analysis
