– Make sure that you have QuickTime selected in your media settings

– Right click on the video and select “Convert Selection for iPod”

– Save video or video segment to your computer

– In PowerPoint, type text and highlight a word or phrase (e.g., “here”)

– Insert > Hyperlink > Locate your video and click OK When viewing the slide show,

you can click on “here” and it will launch the video in your media player.

– Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from File > Locate your video and click OK

– Do you want to play it automatically or when clicked? Totally up to you

When viewing the slide show, you can click on the image and the video will start playing in the PPT itself. Click again to pause.

– View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox

– Click on More Controls (hammer and wrench icon)

– Scroll down to Windows Media Player

– Draw a box that will become the image below

– Right click on the media player > Select properties

– Click on the empty cell next to “Custom”

– Browse for your video > Click OK

– In slideshow mode, you will be able to play the video embedded WITH controls like rewind, fast forward, sound, etc.

– Locate a video or segment that has CC

– Download the video to a folder

– Save the CC file in the same folder

– Open the CC file in a text editing program like Wordpad or Notepad

– Locate the line of code that indicates “font size”

– Increase the font size from 10 to 30 (or whatever you prefer)

– Save the CC file

– Record your actors in front of a green or blue screen

• For this example we used a $7 piece of fabric from JoAnn’s

editable videos– Open Adobe Premiere

Elements– Add Media (images,

video, audio, etc.)• Clip of me in front of

on Video 1 layer (audio will follow on Audio 1 layer)

– Video of your actors on Video 2 layer

– Resize and position your clip just like you do in any software program

• You will also want to crop the image so you just see your actor in front of the blue or green screen

videos– Take the blue (or green

or whatever color) out of the background

– Effects and Transitions• Video Effects > Keying

> Chroma Key

– Literally drag the chroma key icon (duck) on top of your clip on the timeline

videos– In the Properties window

select Chroma Key– Click on the eyedropper

tool– Drag the eyedropper

onto your video clip where you see the blue (or green) and click

– You are selecting the color you want to eliminate from your project

videos– Adjust the similarity,

blend and threshold to take the blue out of the background

– You’ll see your actor in the unitedstreaming video

– Save and then export to DVD, mpeg, quicktime, windows media, etc.
