Editor’s Note

Last time I spoke to you, the days were short and dark, the cold was almost unbearable and Christmas was around the corner. Now the days are finally growing longer and spring is in the air. Spring is the season of love and passion.

This second issue of Dea is all about red. The five photographers that shot for this issue were instructed to use the color red as an inspiration and all of them came up with very different but wonderful ideas and photographs.Red is a powerful color and controversial it can stand for love and hate, death and passion. The color red is often considered dangerous and is of course the color of blood. But in fashion red is mostly used to draw attension to yourself. It gives women extra confidence to were a bright red lip-stick or a bold red dress. In this issue we have photographers from two continents , Europe and North America and both our Icelandic photographers are coincidentally from the same small town not far from Reykjavík.

The next issue will come out this summer, in june to be exact. If you want to be part of it, please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.

Enjoy
