Eucharistic Adoration Ministry of Sault Ste. Marie
Adoration Chapel
Located at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church The Roman Catholic community of the City of Sault Ste. Marie is privileged to have an Adoration Chapel where
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is present at all times. This Chapel is located in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 114 MacDonald Avenue.
We are running into difficulties where a lot of the Adorers are getting to an age where they are unable to attend the Chapel due to sickness or lack of transportation.
The Chapel is open from 6:00 a.m. until Midnight. Anyone can drop in for a visit during that time;
however, we do need adorers committed to a weekly visit for an hour.
We urgently require an Adorer for the hours of:
-Sunday 7pm to 8pm -Sunday 8pm to 9pm -Monday 7am to 8am -Monday 9am to 10 am -Thursday 1pm to 2pm -Saturday 1 to 2pm Please call one of the following coordinators of the Chapel if you would like to come to the Chapel to experience the peace and tranquility of spending one hour weekly with Jesus:
Susanne Quinn-Perron 450-7732; Angela Rasaiah 949-2208; and Raffaela Medaglia 206-3968.
Please NOTE: ** ALL DONATIONS to be credited to the year 2016 must be received in our parish office no later than December 31st. CANADA REVENUE AGENCY—When was the gift received? A charity can only issue a receipt for the (e.g. 2016) tax year if the donation was received in (e.g. 2016). If the postmark on the envelope containing the donor’s payment is dated on or before December 31 (e.g. 2016), this is also acceptable.
**The parish office will be closed from December 26th– January 5th.

Journey to BethlehemJourney to BethlehemJourney to BethlehemJourney to Bethlehem
I sit here writing to you of my Advent experience– Journey to Bethlehem. I always look forward to this season every year. It challenges me to live in joyful hope. Well, little did I know that pain and suffering were going to take over
the better part of this season for me. What I did find is that I knew this would be short and waiting in joyful hope would be my security. This season of Advent has been filled with bumps and bruises, pain and sorrow. We all tend to find ourselves searching for the purpose of all that happens to us. What do you think? Here is the story of a girl being called to bear the Son of God. She has to face criticism, ridicule, harsh judgement. All these stumbling blocks do not keep her from the joyful hope that is promised— even if it means travelling over bumps and rough roads and later to flee her country. She continues to move onward because of her surrender to God and her knowing that joy will be the destination. The journey to Bethlehem is the challenge for each one of us. Along those curved and narrow roads God is with us— filling us with a hope that will end in joy. Yes this day God is with us –Emmanuel!!
May the Spirit of Christmas show us new ways May the Spirit of Christmas show us new ways May the Spirit of Christmas show us new ways May the Spirit of Christmas show us new ways
of seeing and hearing the joyful hope of life.of seeing and hearing the joyful hope of life.of seeing and hearing the joyful hope of life.of seeing and hearing the joyful hope of life.
Merry Christmas everyone!!Merry Christmas everyone!!Merry Christmas everyone!!Merry Christmas everyone!!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to all the young people

Spiritual Adoption of Babies in Danger of Abortion
To help stop the anti-life push in the world at that time
(1973 Roe vs Wade), the late Archbishop Fulton Sheen encouraged the spir-itual adoption of an unborn baby. This is done by praying that one particular but un-known child’s life will be spared from abortion and allowed to continue to live. To help accomplish this, it was recommended that an individual say the following daily prayer for a period of nine months:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph I love You very much.
I beg You to spare the life of (baby’s name) the unborn baby that I
have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.
A Mass for the Unborn will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 28 at 7:00 p.m. for the following spiritually adopted babies prayed for by parishioners: Adam Aanes Zoey Marie Lucia Frank Leima Catherine Sheena Mary Anne For all the babies in Sault Ste. Marie who are in danger of abortion
