Because we always slant our front either rightor left, our option rules may change depending
on the direction of the slant and the type of option being run.
We do have a base set of optionresponsibilities in place. But as stated earlier they can and will change.

Base option rulesTackles- slant in dive, slant out Qb
Nose- dive
Mike- dive
Sam and Will- opposite of tackle- if the tackle slants out
you have dive. If he slants in you have QB
Stud and Whip- straight to pitch.
Free safety- QB to pitch
Corners- Pitch (late)

Closing
� All year we kept expecting someone to
line up in a power formation and be ableto line up and just mash us.
� It never happened. If you can get good
penetration with your DL and your linebackers fit correctly, we feel as if we
can line up and play with anyone.
