After several design reviews, we decided to focus on designing a single cover to protect the back of the iPAD2. The unique shape of the iPAD edge allowed us to snap directly on.

After an initial prototype was made, the client decided on another direction.The new model utilized over-molded santoprene for adhering to the iPAD. Polypropylene was picked as the underlying structure.

After prototyping several of the models to hone and refine the lip and over-molded santoprene, we were able to develop a final model. (below)
