I researched into the typical audience for certain indie rock bands such as Oasis. In

these demographics I found that the target audience are Male aged 18 to 24

with the social grade C2DE. By developing my knowledge further on these types of

people, I have allowed myself to gain idea’s on how I can utilise specific features to attract these members of the audience.

To further my research, I searched for fans of The Killers on YouGov Profiles

Lite. In contrast, I found that typically it is females aged 18-24 with the social

grade of ABC1 who most enjoy the band. This goes to show that indie rock music is not liked by just one sex. Therefore

this opens up a wider range of idea’s and opportunities for me to use when filming

as opinions differ between males and females.
