Dentis Co. was established in March 2005 with the goal of manufacturing the
c le a n e st implants poss i b le and providing the best value to patients. Today, our ce l l
phones are used worldwide. Although they have been in production for about 25 years,
we have ca p t u red more than 20% of the world market share because of superior
functions and quality. Similar to cell phones, Dentis has also focused on become the
best in the implant field worldwide by responding to changing market conditions and
meeting customers’ needs.
In addition to becoming a re co g n i z a b le brand in the implant market, Dentis
m a kes the cle a n e st implants ava i l a b le with the gre a te st degree of precision and the
best technique. Consequently, Dentis is striving to become the leader in the Korean
implant market.
Dentis hopes to restore the happiness of its patients with a natural smile, and
plans to expand the implant industry in Korea to other countries. Dentis will deliver the
b e st quality, and aims to become the company re p resenting Korean implants
worldwide.
This book is constructed for readers to understand readily, and it would provide
i m p o r tant know ledge and information not only to beginners but also to dentists who
require advanced approaches. We hope that this book facilitates the understanding of
the introduction of Dentis, clinical cases, and research papers while becoming a useful
guideline of clinical techniques for better basic research and clinics.
Finally, I thank Gi-Bong Sim, President of the Dentis implant who was in charge
of consulting and providing all supports and encouragement until the publication of this
book, KiYoung Park, President of JeeSung Publishing Company, and the staff of our
Department of Oral and Maxillofacil Surgery.

5. Characteristics of Dentis Implant
1. The 3 types of fixture design can be used in various cases.
Its products have been developed to be applied to various clinical cases and provide 3 types of
fixture, Internal, External and Submerged for parts that need esthetics and according to the
condition of the bone.
2. Convenient Compatibility of Superstructure
Dentis Implant is economical to use with the certain products such as Branemark, ITI, Astra,
and Swissplus implants.
3. Micro-thread for Bone Loss Prevention
Dentis Implant Micro-thread minimizes bone loss, breaking due to internal stress and appro-
priate stimulus of the cortical bone together with stable initial fixation.
4. Taper Design and Rotating Safe Cutting Edge for Smooth Drilling
It has been designed for excellent osseointegration as well as excellent initial fixation
as it remarkably reduces excessive friction with the bone due to uniform transmission
of strength during insertion owing to Dentis fixture’s safe cutting edge that follows the
direction of the rotation. The cutting edge is on the whole body of the fixture and has
taper design and double thread.

23Ⅱ. Characteristics of Dentis Implant System |
Part 1
5. Optimum RBM Surface Treatment
Roughness measurement of the surface is Ra: 1.5~1.8um. This measurement
is the most ideal value for osseointegration.
6. External Fixture Mount Used For I m p r e s s i o nand Abutment
External Fixture Mount is economical and makes it simple for dental
prosthetics. Mount could be used as Impression Coping (Transfer) and Final
Abutment, after insertion.
7. Internal/ Internal Submerged Fixture is a No-Mount System
During surgery, existing Mount System obstructs the range of vision and the
distance between the upper and lower teeth, however Dentis No-mount sys-
tem can immediately ensure a path during surgery and reduces operation
time and attains accurate operation with no effects by the surrounding teeth.

Ⅲ. Uses of Dentis Abutment System
Internal1) Uses of Solid Abutment
Generally, it is used when getting the Abutment Level impression of Internal Type and can be
used in all cases, single unit and multi unit, to make Cemented Type prosthesis.
2) Uses of Excellent Abutment
In molar cases, when abutment is smaller than the size of the prosthesis, it increases the size of
the normal solid abutment, and possesses stability.
3) Uses of InOcta Abutment
It is used for making SCRP dental prosthesis and in choosing cuff of the abutment to suit the
thickness of the gingiva when part of the implant shoulder is being drilled under the gums and
getting an impression in the fixture level.
4) Uses of SyncOcta Abutment
It can be used in all cases, single unit and multi unit and getting an impression in the fixture
level. As all stages of dental prosthesis production is possible in the lab, chair time is reduced.
This is Cemented Type and is possible to make SCRP dental prosthesis.

5) Uses of Gold ULCA Abutment
It is used when the opposing of surfaces of the teeth of the two jawbones does not come
into contact and the dentist makes screw type prosthesis.
6) Uses of Angulated Abutment
It is prepared in 15 and 25 degrees and can be used in cases to compensate for the angle and
the insertion path is not good.
7) Uses of Octa Abutment
It is used when prosthesis requires Screw Type, or cases of multiple unit that does not have
a good path.
8) Uses of O-Ring Abutment
It is used for over denture.

be used in all cases, single unit and multi unit, to make Cemented Type prosthesis.
2) Uses of Couple Abutment
It can be used in all cases, single unit and multi unit and getting an impression in the fixture and
abutment level. As all stages of dental prosthesis production is possible in the lab, chair time is
reduced. This is Cemented Type and is possible to make SCRP dental prosthesis.
3) Uses of Gold UCLA Abutment
It is used when the opposing of surfaces of the teeth of the two jawbones does not come into
contact and the dentist makes screw type prosthesis.

reduces operation time and attains accurate operation with no effects
from the surrounding teeth.
O c t a
Octa Connection prosthesis is compatible with superstructures of ITI
and Swissplus.
Tapered design
Root Form Design achieved superb initial fixation strength also in places
where condition of the bone is not good, makes an easy and stable
surgery possible and reduces surgery time.
Micro-Thread for Bone Loss Prevention
It prevents water absorption of the cortex due to bacterial infection and
minimizes bone loss, breaking due to internal stress and stimulus of the
cortical bone with stable initial fixation strength and wedges in thin cor-
tex as well.
RBM Surface Treatment (1.5-1.8um)
It maximizes osseointegration.
Safe cutting edge
It minimizes resistance of the bone during insertion of the implant and
functions to provide safe and smooth insertion.
Self-tapping Groove
It helps self-tapping during the insertion of the implant and at the same
time be the space for bone chips. In addition, boost fixation strength
after insertion.

“C o n v e n i e n t”No Mount System
During surgery, existing Mount System obstructs the range of vision and
the distance between the upper and lower teeth, however Dentis No-
mount system can immediately ensure a path during surgery and
reduces operation time and attains accurate operation with no effects
from the surrounding teeth.
H e x
Hex Connection prosthesis is compatible with the superstructure with
products of Astra.
