Eye on the Prize
The purpose of our project was to raise funds for our pledge to
the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra. The project included
viewing of the Kentucky Derby on big screen TVs , a themed
menu, Derby Day games,, a Dixie Land jazz band for
entertainment, live and silent auctions, and a hat contest.

January 2011 - First committee meetings, menu tasting, decorations

Hats off to volunteers
We had a committee chair and eight other committee members who organized
decorations, food and drink, auctions, games, audio/visual, invitations and
printing, publicity and organizing event volunteers. Twenty volunteers staffed
the actual Derby Day.
