What is i-AMD??

• i-AMD is expanded as Intelligent- All terrain Mine Detector and Defuser .

• Created for a National Duty.• Self sacrificing ,saves many soldiers and many

civilians from land mine attacks.

INSPIRATION

• From natures encyclopedia, in a page about human, it was all about human arm.

• Human arm’s 12 degree of freedom is coupled with jamming technology.

• Jamming process enables the robotic arm to take any shape and lift any kind of object.

• Jamming is done with help of an elastic membrane filled with granules and by applying negative pressure.

• Elastic membrane is filled with granules up to a malleable state.

• Elastic membrane is placed on the object to be lifted.

• Suction pressure (negative pressure) is created to give a strong grip to the elastic membrane.

• Positive pressure is created to drop the object lifted.

DIETHYLENE TRIAMINE SPRAYER

• It is a chemical used for combustion of TNT, the explosive material in mines.

• It can be stored in 304 or 316 stainless steel.

• In extreme cases it is used to burn the mine with out detonation

LANDMINE SENSING UNIT

• INFRA RED SENSOR

IR sensor consists of an emitter and detector.Emits light rays and detects the object.

• ULTRASOUND SENSOR

Detects the mine and calculates the distance.

BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR

• Brushless DC motor is used to run a fan.• The maximum speed requirement is 20000 rpm.• The main purpose is to blow away the soil on top of

the mine.
