REPORT OF SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh organized Swachh Bharat

Abhiyan in the college campus on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti to mark the birth

anniversary of father of the nation. The campaign is part of nationwide movement

launched by the Govt. of India to make the nation clean and healthy.

Ham sabh ka ye payara bhaarat

Saaf rahega saaf rahega’

1. SWACCHTA SHAPATH

NSS programme officers administered the Swacchta Shapath to teaching, non teaching,

support staff as well as students of the college as proposed by DPI (C) UT

administration. The pledge is related to maintaining cleanliness of the surroundings the

beginning of which starts with the individual to the family, neighborhood, village and

workplace.

2. MIME ON CLEANLINESS

The NSS volunteers of the college performed a mime on the theme ‘cleanliness of

the environment’

3. SPEECHES, POETRY, SONGS

The students and staff members also presented speeches, poetry and songs on

importance in cleanliness in everybody’s life.

4. SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN ON CLEANLINESS

5. CAMPUS CLEANLINESS AND BEAUTIFICATION DRIVEThe NSS Volunteers of the college also carried out campus cleanliness and

beautification drive wherein they clean the classrooms, corridoors, laboritories.

Library. Office etc.

6. ADDRESS BY DR. AGNESE DHILLON (DEAN STUDENT WELFARE)On this occasion Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Dean Student Welfare of the college

addressed the students and encouraged them to live a healthy life by adopting

personal heigiene measures and at the same time keeping the environment clean

and green. She reiterated that Dev Samaj inculcates the values of self- less service

to the soiety and a concern for the environment. All the staff memebers were

present on the occasion.
