INGREDIENTS

CALAMANSI

• Health Benefits:• The pectin content in calamansi is said to be

beneficial in lowering blood cholesterol. • The vitamin C content in the lime increases the

body's resistance to disease, aids the healing of wounds and prevents damage to the eyes.

• Vitamin C is also helpful in maintaining the health of the teeth and other bones of the body.

CINNAMON BARK

• Health Benefits:• The active principles in the cinnamon spice are known to

have anti-oxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-septic, local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, rubefacient (warming and soothing), carminative and anti-flatulent properties.

• Cinnamon has the highest anti-oxidant strength of all the food sources in nature.

• The spice contains health benefiting essential oils such as eugenol, a phenylpropanoids class of chemical compound, which gives pleasant, sweet aromatic fragrances.

VANILLA EXTRACT

• Health benefits.• The extract contains essential B-vitamins such as

niacin, panthothenic acid, thiamin, and riboflavin and small amounts of minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, iron, and zinc.

• Although there is little evidence to prove the effect of vanilla extract on coughing, the mild anesthetic properties may relieve symptoms such as pain from a sore throat or headache.

BROWN SUGAR

• Health Benefits:• Brown Sugar has a high calorie content that

will give your body energy that you lack. • Sugars in their structure have ingredients that

are passed to them from their natural sources, sugarcanes or beet. Elements such as phosphorus, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium will not be greatly present in the industrially refined sugar.

• Prepare the materials and ingredients needed.

• Pour just 2 cups of water into the cooking pot.• Let it boil for 5 minutes.• Add 3 inches of the cinnamon bark.• Let it boil for another 5 minutes.• After that, strain the cinnamon bark onto a

container.

• On a pan, put 4 tbsps. of brown sugar.• Set your stove on low fire so that it wont burn

the sugar.• Keep mixing it until the sugar melts.• Put the melted brown sugar onto a container.

PROCEDURE

• Squeeze 5 calamansi’s into the glass.• Be sure to use the strainer so that no seeds

will go into the glass.• Fill half of the glass with water.

PROCEDURE

• Put 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon extract onto the glass.

• Put 2 teaspoons of the melted sugar.• Add 2 drops of vanilla extract.• Mix thoroughly.• And your Kalammonsi Juice is done! Enjoy!
