Admission: Students must be 18 years or older. For GED®/HiSET®/WDD
programs, students who are 16-17 years old must be officially released
with a Form 4140 from regular day school. Enrollment is non-
discriminatory with regard to race, creed, sex, or ability.
Important reminder regarding fees: In addition to the tuition, all classes
will incur an additional, nonrefundable enrollment fee of $20 per class.
Refunds (tuition only) for Special Interest classes will be given only if
the student notifies the office BEFORE THE START OF THE SECOND
CLASS SESSION. A full refund will be issued if a class is cancelled due to
low enrollment.
Tobacco/Drug/Alcohol-Free School System: Smoking, use of tobacco
products and electronic cigarettes is prohibited on school campuses and
satellites at all times. The Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and
the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 require that the
Department of Education maintain a drug-free and alcohol-free school
environment.
Unlawful Discrimination and Sexual Harassment: The state’s non-
discrimination policy, as well as Board of Education Policy 1110-11,
prohibits any form of discrimination, including harassment based on a
person’s membership in a protected class.

About the GED® Test
The GED® Test provides a valid means of measuring the educational
achievement of adults who have not graduated from high school and of
comparing their academic competence with that of high school graduates.
The GED® Test series consists of four subtests: Reasoning Through
Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, & Social Studies. Each
measures the major skills considered to be the outcome of a high school
education.
GED® Test Registration Information
Registration for the GED® test is done online at <ged.com> and the test is
administered at the official Pearson VUE® Testing Center at the McKinley
Community School for Adults campus. The testing schedule will be made
available upon completion of the online registration.

a candidate’s attainment of academic knowledge and skills equivalent to
those of a high school graduate. Candidates will be tested in five core areas:
Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The test is a
computer based testing.
