IDRING GUIDELINES FOR TEACHER! POSITIONS

FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2017 - 2018

TO: Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Chief Education Supervisor - SGOD Education Program Supervisors School Heads (Public Elementary, JHS and SHS) All Others Concerned

1. This Office announces the recruitment and selection of teachers for Teacher I positions in theeliementary and secondary levels for SY 2017 - 2018 which shall commence on March 6, 2017.

2. The recruitment and selection procedures shall be guided by DepEd Order No. 7, s. 2015. Thest1ep by step procedure to be undertaken is outlined in Enclosure No. 1 of this Memorandum.

3. Applicants shall submit one complete set of personal folder/portfolio directly to the principal.This shall contain a written application letter, all pertinent/supporting documents and dulynotarized Omnibus Certification of Authenticity and Verification of Documents Submitted.E][lclosure No. 3 of this Memorandun1 shall be used as template for this certification.

4. The Screening Committee in the elementary school shall be chaired by the School Head withfour ( 4) teachers as members. The committee at the secondary level shall be chaired by theSchool Head. The Department Head concerned and three (3) teachers from the differentlearning areas shall be members. For small secondary schools that do not have departmentheads, the School Head shall be the Committee Chair with four (4) subject leaders fromdifferent learning areas as members.

5. The School Head shall submit to the Schools Division Superintendent the Composition of theS<;hool Screening Committee for the issuance of a corresponding Designation Order on orbefore March 3, 2017. The functions of the School Selection Committee are enumerated in6.2.1 DO No. 22, s. 2015.

6. The composition of the Division Selection Committee 1s on Enclosure No. 2 of thisMemorandum.

7. All teacher-applicants in the Registry of Qualified Applicants in SY 2016-2017 who were nothired on permanent status in the public schools need to re-apply as the RQA is good only forone year.

8. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is earnestly desired.
