not a GP - what can they do?
Wasted Appointments in January 2019
In January there were 610 missed appointments. We urge that if you are unable to make your appointment please let the surgery know, the appointment may be offered to another patient who may need it.
Healthcare assistants or HCAs work in hospital or
community settings, such as GP surgeries, under the
guidance of clinical staff. HCAs play an important
part in delivery a high standard of care to patients at
TMC. They support our GPs and doctors in ensuring
that patients are seen in a timely manner
Some of their responsibilities include:
Giving and discussing results
Completing NHS health checks
Ear syringing
Assisting minor surgeries e.g. coil fitting and implants
Taking blood - Phlebotomy clinics
Health promotion or health education work
Flu/Pneumonia and Shingles vaccinations
B12 vaccinations
ECG’s
Suture/clip removal
Both Trinity Medical Centre and Sandal Surgery will be closed from 12 pm lunchtime on Wednesday 27th February as our teams take part in Target training sessions.

On February 7th Time to talk day is all about bring people together to break the stigma and raise awareness of Mental Health.
