Anyone witnessed not picking up after his/her dog will be excused from
the show weekend with no monies refunded.
EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE: Exhibitors should follow their Veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Wisconsin laws require dogs over 4 months of age to have current Rabies vaccination.
Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way (i.e., left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) will be removed to safety. Exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way is considered mistreatment.

Working Dog Working Bitch
Dogs and Bitches must be registered on a full registration with the AKC (limited registration, ILP and PAL and foreign registration cannot be accepted), must be intact (per AKC rules, dog may not be neutered nor bitches be spayed), have a SCA working title (WS, WSX or WSXM), an AKC tracking title or an AKC performance event title that requires at least three (3) qualifying scores (included, but not limited to, obedience, rally, agility, herding, etc.). Any other AKC certifications, tests and titles based on pass/fail scores do not qualify (CGC, HIT, THD). A verification list of eligible dogs / bitches may be obtained from the SCA Working committee chairman. Champions of record that have working titles are also eligible.
Best of Breed
Awards of Merit At the discretion of the judge, an Award of Merit may be given to 10% (always rounded downward) of all those competing for Best of Breed. The 10% figure shall be based on the total Best of Breed entry at the time of closing; i.e., disregarding absentees or transfers from the classes, plus two for Winners Dog and Winners Bitch, plus an additional number for each winner of the following classes: Veteran Dog, 8-10 yrs, Veteran Dog 10-12 yrs, & Veteran Dog 12 yrs & older, Veteran Bitch 8-10 yrs, Veteran Bitch 10-12 yrs, and Veteran Bitch 12 yrs & older. All of those in Best of Breed Competition shall be eligible to receive an Award of Merit, except the Best of Breed winner, Select Dog winner, Select Bitch winner and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed winner.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries As the judge’s decision in the Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes.
NOTE: “Judging of Stud Dog, Brood Bitch & Brace Classes will take place prior to Best of Breed competition both days”
Stud Dog Class – For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the Regular or Non-Regular Classes or if a Champion of Record, for Best of Breed / Variety Competition or may be entered for Stud Dog Class only at the regular entry fee. The Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog unit shall be considered as one entry and requires only one entry fee. The Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his Get. Stud Dog to be judged based on the merits of the Get. Neutered Stud Dogs are eligible for entry in this class. Brood Bitch – Same as Stud Dog Class, except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Spayed Brood Bitches are eligible for entry in this class. Brace – For two dogs owned and/or co-owned by the exhibitor. Effective January 1, 2005, a brace is defined as two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in brace competition must have at least one common owner. Brace will require a fee (see entry fee page) as a unit, provided the dogs are entered in another class. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for “Brace Class Only”, full particulars must be given for each such dog on an individual regular entry form and a separate fee must be paid for each such dog entered. Dogs comprising the Brace must be named at time of entry. If more than one Brace is entered by the same owner, they MUST be indicated as “Brace #1, Brace #2, etc. PLEASE SUBMIT BRACE ENTRIES TOGETHER.

Additionally, dogs owned wholly or in part by the Sweepstakes judge or any member of his/her household are ineligible to be entered in Sweepstakes and regular classes at this event.
(Entry Fee, Per Show, for Puppy Sweepstakes is $20.00) Puppy Sweepstakes is open to all Samoyeds 6 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All entries in Puppy Sweepstakes must be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular class entry fee. Sweepstakes class and age division must be indicated on the entry form under additional classes.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP – SATURDAY #1 & SUNDAY

NOVICE CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls, who at the time entries close, have not won three first places, with competition present, in a Novice class at a licensed or member show. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent or Show Secretary at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. OPEN CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls who have won three first place awards in a Novice class in a licensed or member show, with competition present. The winner of a Novice Class shall automatically become eligible, upon notice to the Open Class ring steward, to enter and compete in the Open Class at the same show provided the win is the 3rd first place award with competition and further providing there are one or more junior handlers competing in the Open Class. MASTER CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed, all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. The Novice and Open Classes will be divided into Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions. The Junior class is for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show. The Intermediate class shall be for the boys and girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years on the day of the show. The Senior class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.

For dogs that are four months of age and over, but under six months on the day of the event.
➢ AKC registration # or an AKC litter # is required. ➢ A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. ➢ All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies). ➢ Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must
be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.

The GMSF & SAMI will add a collection fee of $40 to the amount of each returned check. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. •ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. •DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. (The building will be open at 7:00 a.m.) Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. •NO DOGS will be allowed in the building overnight. •NO SMOKING IN BUILDING. NO GENERATORS are permitted inside any building. •NO PRIVATE exercise pens in the building. Grooming allowed in designated areas only. •EXHIBITORS must exercise their dogs in the designated areas and pick up after them. •JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. •ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged. •CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Show Secretary's Office advised at once. The Show Secretary and show-giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. •NO DOGS UNDER 4 MONTHS OF AGE ARE PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING. ONLY DOGS THAT ARE AKC ELIGIBLE ARE ALLOWED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. •EXHIBITORS should follow their Veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Wisconsin laws require dogs over 4 months of age to have current Rabies vaccination. •DOGS found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way (for example: left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) will be removed to safety. Exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way is considered mistreatment. •THESE CLUBS DO NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS AS SET FORTH ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM FOR THESE EVENTS.

variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13
in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull
Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels
(King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions
of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
