POINTS DISCUSSED AND DECIDED IN THE MEETING IN THE CONTEXT OF THEWORKSHOP:
1) Introductory welcome speech given by Honourable Shri Manas Ghosh Sir, Deanof RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIVEKANANDA EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE,NARENDRAPUR, KOLKATA – 700103.
2) Main Emphasis to Education – Extension to Rural Level.
3) IRDM Faculty started on 2004.
4) Main Target: Non Traditional Course. University will address. To cater need ofhuman being.
5) Post Harvest Technology & Farm Mechanization department started. Cold Roomand post harvest Storage Room approval given by Mr. Atanu Purkayastha, Secretary,Govt. of West Bengal at that time.
The building is a 2 storeyed civil contruction with the following facilities.

6) Statutory compliances – 37 points to be introduced in Enterprenuership andmanagement of enterprise.
7) Water effluent / water treatment course should be introduced in the curriculam.
8) Machine design / machine manufacture must be taught in the course.
9) Dr Prasanta Biswas mentioned the following:a. The name of the course may be given as AGRO PROCESSING AND FOOD
TECHNOLOGY since, meaning of POST HARVEST TECHNOLOGY AND FOODTECHNOLOGY are very close.
b. He mentioned- ZERO COOLING PROCESS of PRESERVATION and- STUDY ON MYCOTOXINSmay be included in the course.
