To provide education opportunities for students and educators that uses the unique environment of NASA flight platforms.

The program supports NASA’s strategic mission to streamline individuals into a seamless pipeline to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or STEM, by engaging participants in hands-on experiences relating to flight test research and airborne science.

Airborne Research Experience for Educators (AREE)

Ten (10) secondary educators (grades 7-12) who specialize in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) disciplines

Outcome: Development of curriculum-based activities resulting from their observations and experiences

Implemented in parallel with The Student Airborne Research Program (SARP)

• 60% female educators 80% post baccalaureate and 20% bachelors
