DuPont Crop Objectives for penthiopyrad:

• Pome fruit (apple, pear)• Bulb Vegetables• Grape• Cucurbits (cucumber, melons,

squash)• Leafy vegetables (Lettuce, celery)• Fruiting vegetables (Tomato,

pepper)• Stone fruit (peach, plum, cherry)• Tree nuts (almond, pecan)• Canola• Dry Beans, peas• Strawberry• Peanut• Potato

• Cereals (wheat, rice, corn)• Soybean• Sugarbeet• Citrus• Several possibilities exist for IR-

4 to extend the use of this new product to additional specialty crop production systems.

Penthiopyrad spectrum of control

• Key biological fit for the control of the following diseases/pathogens across all crops:

– Foliar pathogens:- Powdery mildew, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotinia, Sclerotium rolfsii, rust. Septoria,

Ascochyta, Alernaria, Monilinia, Botrytis, Cylindrocladium, Cercospora, Venturia inequalis, plus many others.

– Key soilborne pathogens:- Sclerotinia, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotium rolfsii

• Penthiopyrad does not control:– Oomycetes- downy mildew and Phytophthora

Penthiopyrad is effective at low use rates

• The application rate typically will vary from 100 to 400 g ai/ha.

• The specific use rate will depend on the target crop and disease, as well as the method of application, disease pressure, presence of other fungicide mix partners, and other factors.
