We’re Hiring!
The Problem:
New Zealand has one of the highest rates of youth mental illness in the OECD
Young people around New Zealand are struggling
They’re hurting, and losing the opportunity to live fulfilling lives, reach their potential to give back to the
world and build a better future for Aotearoa
The digital divide is growing between services and programmes developed to
support young people, and the techculture and use amongst
young Kiwis
Our Approach:
Design and develop strengths-based interventions which will improve youth wellbeing, with
young people at the centre of the process.
We create physical and conceptual spaces where young people and organisations can collaborate.
We’re developing the social & cultural processes which support
safe, rigorous and robust collaboration, development and
action research.
We take our programmes to where they’re needed the most.
In 2013 & 2014 we ran workshops & immersive programmes in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, the West Coast, Southland and Northland
to support social innovation across the country.
Lifehack takes a design-centric approach that blends together innovation processes, startup principles, the latest wellbeing research,
socio-cultural tech trends and elements of Te Ao Maori.
We convene a broad range of skill sets, from PhD researchers to biomedical engineers, musicians to mobile developers, community
activators to user experience designers.
