The Typhoon NEPARTAK-16 has reached its peak intensity as a Category 5 equivalent tropicalcyclone, and is expected to have a high humanitarian impact based on the storm strength and thepotential affected population. It made landfall near Taimali (Taitung county), on 7 July at around 22.00UTC.The present map shows the f lood delineation in the area of Hualien City (TAIWAN). The thematic layerhas been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach. The estimatedgeometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satelliteimage.
