What we are not…

• We are not a vendor– We are a collaboration– Institutions and companies with shared values– We don’t have a sales force, I’m not a salesperson

• An investment is “enlightened self-interest”– By participating, members have influence and fully

understand the system up front

6

What is Kuali Student?A Next Generation Student System which is

• Meeting requirements of the community –Not just the requirements of one institution

• Flexible to changing business processes

• Delivering a rich user experience

• Modular and scalable

Management• Institutional implementations in progress– University of Maryland– UC Berkeley– North-West University (South Africa)– Others in planning and sandbox stage (UW, Boston

College)

14

Delivering EnrollmentEnrollment• Gathered and synthesized requirements from the

KS community• Developing a core slice of Enrollment to prove

out the design. Culminates in a demo at Kuali Days 2011

• Starting development on first release (Enrollment 1.0)– A baseline from which to build rest of the Enrollment

scope in order to deliver the broader vision– Launching multiple regional development teams

15

Executing the Vision

• Kuali Student is happening• Committed to vision of next generation Student
