Not only was the retreat a complete blast, but more importantly,it was transformative. Our El Salvador team truly became “One Heart” and “One Mind” over that weekend. We learned to over that weekend. We learned to communicate and trust each other on an entirely new level. By the time the trip came around, wewere more like a family. I would give my life for any one of them.

Using all of the knowledge, lessons and skills that were learned in the “Journey of Excellence”, the team takes on a new role as leaders and facilitators as they lead young men and women through sports camps and leadership

retreats.

TLA seeks to not only impact the people of El Salvador, but also the team members who go to serve there. Each trip is concluded with a 2-day Retreat focused on reecting back on the trip, and developing an action plan on how the lessons that were learned can be applied to the participants' lives upon

returning to the United States. returning to the United States.

In addition, throughout the trip there are evening group discussions at the conclusion of each day, interactive mountain or volcano climbs, and aernoons at the beach which are also used as reective times for team members to prepare themselves for a purpose-driven lifestyle in their homes, places of employment, on the athletic eld, etc.employment, on the athletic eld, etc.
