WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT?

An electric circuit is a closed circuit that works with electricity. The power source (battery) carries the energy throw the conductor (wire) to the resistor (bulb).

A switch is used to close or open the circuit. When it is closed it works but when it's open it doesn't work.

What do you need to make an electric circuit?

ELECTRIC CIRCUIT SYMBOLS

This is a basic circuit. There is a battery, a bulb and wires.

To represent electric circuits there are some standard symbols. They are very usefull to draw and interpret circuit diagrams.

This is a closed circuit. We all made electric circuits. It was very funny and we had a great time!

DIAGRAM OF AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT

CONDUCTORSConductors are objects that carry electricity.

For example: scissors, pliers, metal spoon, pencil mines, rings...Metals are good

conductors.

INSULATORS

Insulators are materials that don't carry electric currents. For example: wood, rubber and plastic are good insulators.

Making electric circuits was very fun
