User Manual
This documentation of e-Monit includes all the operations handled by the
software through the HR modules implemented for the governance of
Irrigation Department activities. This software allows access to multiple users
at a time and users can use this software on a real-time basis. e-Monit is a
cross-platform software, works with the help of browsers and can be called
as a web based governance solution. Any registered user of the software can
access from any part of the world through internet, distance no more a
problem for accomplishing the office activities of Irrigation Department.
1. How to access e-Monit?
Open any compatible web browser like Firefox or Google Chrome to access
the software. Enter URL of e-Monitwww.emonit.irrigation.kerala.gov.in on the
address bar of the browser and press enter button.
Now you will be redirected to the login page of the software.
2. How to login ?
When you reach login page of the e-Monit you have to provide user name and
password to identify the person accessing the software. You will be provided
by an username and password called ‘user/login credentials’ from Irrigation
IT cell. Most probably your PEN will be the User name and Password shall be
provided from Irrigation IT cell. Now use these credentials to login into the
software. You have to enter the captcha word below before pressing the sign
in
Once your login is successful, then you will be provided with a personalised
dashboard. This dashboard is customised according to the privilege and
permission granted to you in the software.

In the dashboard you can see many modules and one is offices. When you
click on the office block then you will be redirected to the view page of the
office module. Here you can view list all offices under irrigation department.
Office name, contact number email ids are provided against each office for
the purpose of quick contact. All the offices are already listed so you don’t
need to add any office.On such requirement contact Irrigation IT cell.
Presently only DDO s/ admins can access this module.
In the top of list you can see an Edit button which will move, as you scroll

You can edit office information by selecting and clicking the edit button. Now
you will be provided with an editable form with existing data, you can change
or update the data and submit for approval of the software administrator. The
kind of data you have to fill is
basic details of office,
functional details,
service details,
contact details,
location details,
sanctioned Post,
staff strength, etc.
You have also an option to provide office head and account details of the
office.
Information regarding to more than 800 offices are currently available in the
office module.
Each office will have a profile page in the software. The profile page of office
has all data you have updated and approved by the administrator. We have
provided an edit button (which is disabled now) on the top of the profile page
from there you can directly get access to your office edit page (instead of
searching for your office details updating use this menu). In the case of
entering sub office details, please goto office details menu and search for the
office or filter to select it.
How to use filter and search an office?
The filter and search are two facilities to shortlist the office in the view page.
You can search with keyword matching to an office to get a shortlist. Enter
keyword in the search box and press the button “search”
A) In Filter, you get four options - location, wing, type of office, and
category. First select district of the office you want to find, then the
wing it resides, then hierarchy level of the office in the type field, and
finally office under which that comes, after that click ‘GO’ button to get
the office.
B) You can also use filter for organized view. eg: select any district in the
filter and press Go then it will display all office in the list with that
district.
C) Now leave district field blank and select any one of the wing and press go,
it will show all offices under that wing.
D) Next leave both district and wing fields empty and select any of the type
(head office, circle offices, division offices, subdivision, section) then it will
give result according to the selected type and show offices comes under that
hierarchy.
In office category field you can select offices from Chief engineer office to
subdivision office, and it will result in showing list of offices that has lien to
that particular office.
How to enter sanction post and strength in office profile?
In the edit page of the office there is two fields to enter count regarding to
Sanctioned post and strength.
In the sanction post field provide the count of categories of posts approved
by govt. for the office. In the strength field give total govt approved no of
post created for the office. (eg: if an office has one A.E, two J.S and 5
Clerks, then give sanction posts as 3 and strength as 8 ).
If this is left blank you cannot fill up Sanctioned Post Summary.
How to fill SanctionedPost Summary form ?
You will get sanction post summary menu on the left side of the office
module. On clicking, the menu will redirect to a view page with list of
sanctioned post already created by the user.
If not created it will be blank and will filled up when you add posts.
In the top of the Page you get Add button to name the sanction posts in the
respective office and enter its strength. When you click on the add button,
“Add form” appear and in this form you have to select office in which you
want to name the post.
After selection of office fields will appear for naming sanctioned posts in the
office. After entering the name give some description which is not mandatory
to fill and enter the strength of post allotted for the office. Enter strength for
each sanction post and submit to view the provided data on the list.
You can modify the name of post or strength by clicking on the edit icon on
the row of particular post. If you decide to delete, select the data row and
click the delete button.

How to enter Office Section details in the software ?
Don’t confuse office section with ‘section offices’ of Irrigation dept. These
are wings inside the each office to categorise the services of office seats like
Establishment, Works, Drawing Branch, Finance etc. Click on the ‘office
section’ menu on the left of the office module and you will be redirected to
the view page, here you can see the already named sections in the office (if
not added it will be blank).
Press add button and add form appear, select respective office in the
dropdown and name the section in your office. If you want to, then provide
description and submit the data. Now the newly entered data appear of the
view page
How to enter Office Seat details in the software?
Click on the office seat menu on the left side of Office module, seat view
page appear.
On the top of the view page, add button provided to enter new seat data.
Press ADD button and select respective office to name seat under each
section.
After selecting office, select section (it is not mandatory, if any office doesn’t
have section then leave it blank) and then name the seat like A.E (works), J.S
(administration), etc.
