Do you remember using the verb IR to talk about where someone goes?
Ex. Yo voy a la biblioteca. I go to the library.
When you want to say what someone is going to do, use ir + a + (infinitive)
Ex. Yo voy a comer en la cafetería. I am going to eat in the cafeteria.
We learned how to conjugate verbs that end in –ar. The regular endings are:
-o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an
Now we are going to learn how to conjuagte verbs that end in –er and –ir.
-er verbs have the same endings as –ir verbs except in the nosotros and vosotros forms.
Notice that the endings for –er verbs are just like –ar verb endings but with the letter e in the place of a.-ar: -o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an-er: -o, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en

Abrir – to open

Verbs with irregular yo forms
There are several verbs in Spanish that are regular in every form but the yo form.
Two of these verbs are hacer and conocer.
Oír is another verb with an irregular yo form, but the rest of the forms are also irregular.
Hacer – to make/to do
Notice that the endings for hacer are regular but the yo form ends in -go.There are several verbs that are normal but where the yo form ends in –go. Some of them are: Poner – to put/place, Salir – to leave/to go out, Traer – to bring (traigo), Caer – to fall (caigo)

Conocer – to know, to be familiar with (person, place)
When using conocer, you will use the personal a between the verb form and the person. You do not use the a when conocer is followed by a place.Ella conoce a Ana. She knows Ana. Ellos conocen Madrid. They know Madrid.

Like hacer and conocer, oír has an irregular yo form. Also, some of the forms have a spell change (i – y). Also the nosotros and vosotros forms have an accent on the i.
