When Do They Come?Where Do They Settle?Near October, you can see their figure in the outlet of the rivers with time.

They usually settle down in the outlet of these rivers---Ker-Ya river, Da-Du river, Zheng-Wen river, and Guan-Du.

Taking a bath isn’t that easy for spoonbills. Their long bills cause them problems.

The kiwi birds are only in Australia.

Because of the continental drift, Australia floated away from other continents very long time ago.

The animals in Australia naturally evolves differently compared to other animals in other continents.

How They Behave?

Lazy, they can sleep up to 20 hours a day.

Shy, and only act in the nighttime.

Have sensitive noses, they rely on their noses to find food under the ground.

They only lie one egg each time.

They walk slowly and are not really harmful.

Why Are They Endangered?

As said before, continental drift made kiwi birds lived safely in Australia.

However, things changed when European discovered Australia.

With these changes, kiwi birds are not the only species faced with extinction.

More than 40 species of bird had died off already.
