Energy Transformations in a Cell Phone

By Paul Söllinger

The sun has nuclear energy, electromagnetic, thermal and nuclear energy.

The solar panels transform the nuclear energy from the sun into solar energy (electrical and thermal energy).

The solar energy is transferred to the charger.

The EE is transferred from the cable to the charger. This transforms it into not as powerful electrical energy which then gets transferred to the cable that then transfers its EE to the phones battery.

v

Stored CE transforms into ME through lifting the phone.

While typing in the number you are about to call, you transform some of your CE into ME.

Through calling somebody you transfer EE into electromagnetic energy.
