Group 1 (Potential Attt)

• Focus more on Section C, Paper 2 • Their writing must have similes, idioms,

proverbs and new words, phrase or sentence• Same exercises will be given 2 or 3 times• BUT the pupils must increase their marks even

though 1 mark.• IF they couldn’t increase, they have to do it

again.

Group 1(Potential Attt)

• Section A – compulsory to write 1 simple, 2 compound and 2 complex sentences

• Marks – must be 8 – 9

• Section B – compulsory to get 10 marks for filling in the table and 4 marks for giving the reasons.

Group 2(Potential Att)

• Focus more on Section C, Paper 2 • Their writing must have similes, idioms and

new words • Same exercises will be given 2 or 3 times• BUT the pupils must increase their marks even

SECTION C -Introduction (sample)• Qayyum, who is my cousin, is twelve years old.

He is active and mischievous. He lives in a village which is 5 kilometres away from his school. Qayyum walks to school every day.

• Elina, who is my classmate, enjoys reading during her free time. She will borrow any reading materials such as books and magazines to read. She says reading will widen her knowledge.

SECTION C-Introduction (sample)

• Aaron, who has a heart of gold, likes to give a helping hand to anyone who is in trouble. He lives in a beautiful house located beside a waterfall. He studies in Sekolah Kebangsaan _____________. His hobby is fishing.

• Sabri, who is a brilliant and diligent boy comes from a poor family. He lives in an old dilapidated house located in the outskirts of Malacca. His family lives from hand to mouth. His father is a sweeper in the wholesale market near his house. Every day he walks to school.

SECTION C-Introduction (sample)

• Adam, who is as hardworking as an ant, lives in a small house located in the heart of the town. He is an obedient boy and is in the good books of his friends and teachers.

SECTION C-Closure(sample)

• Helping someone/ A good/kind deed:1. The _______ was very grateful for his help.

He thanked and praised him for his bravery/ honesty, kindness/ good action. He gave him/ rewarded him some money but he did not accept it/ he refused to accept it.

• When he went home, he quickly told his parents about the incident. His parents were extremely proud of him. It was indeed a memorable/ an unforgettable day for him.

• A camping trip1. The days flew past and it was time for them to go

home. Reluctantly, they packed and left the place. It was an unforgettable trip and they would like to go camping again.

SECTION C-Closure(sample)

• When you have been naughty:a. He regretted his action. From that day

onwards, he turned a new leaf. He promised to listen to his parents’ advice.

• Encourage the pupils to answer : 1. Section C (grammar) 2. Section D (close passage)3. Section A (vocabulary)4. Section B (social expressions)5. Section E (comprehensions)

• They must find and underline the keywords -grammar(Section C & D) or vocabulary (Section A & D)

• Section E - encourage them to use a ruler when they are reading - number of lines beside the passage - they must write the question numbers in given passage(get the answers)
