ENTREPRENEURSHIP: imagination@work – TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING 2
October 18th, 2017 – Arrival Day
All partners reached Sangalhos, in Portugal, to take part in the first transnational meeting within the Erasmus
+ project “Entrepreneurship: Imagination@work”.
After settling into the rooms, the visitors, plus some Portuguese special guests, enjoyed a dinner all together
at the Estalagem Sangalhos Hotel.
October 19th, 2017 – Working Day 1
In the morning of the first working day the group departed to Instituto Profissional da Barraida, to meet the
director Nuno Santos and visit the school.

The team of teachers was warmly welcomed by both the staff and students.
Subsequently the visitors had the great
opportunity to have a tour through the
educational institution, participate in the
lessons, talk to the Portuguese students
and teachers of the secondary school. It
was extremely interesting to notice how
all the projects of IPB were directly
connected to the requests of the local
labour market.
After coffee break, the group went to meet the major at the City Hall.
In his speech he emphasized the importance of cooperation and dialogue
between school and the entire community. Little presents were exchanged.
Then the group went for a visit to the Quartel Das Artes, an art centre, owned by the Municipality of Oliveira
do Bairro, focused on the promotion and diffusion of cultural and artistic activities.

Back to school, the participants had lunch at the school canteen
and, soon after, the Austrian coordinator presented an icebreaking
activity.
Each member of every national team had to introduce his/her team
members with a brief speech. Then, each team made a
presentation of its own school and geographical area, with the use
of multimedial devices (i.e. PowerPoint presentations, Prezi,
videos, Thinglink, etc…).
October 20th, 2017 – Working Day 2
In the second working day the Portuguese host, Alberto Cardoso, conducted a
workshop on ICT skills, focusing on Pbworks, Wordpress, Instagram and Calameo.
He started dealing with Pbworks; through the creation of personal accounts, he
explained how to use this platform to communicate, to keep in touch easily and to
share working material within a secure and reliable environment.
As for Wordpress, Alberto gave all
the participants information and
practical instructions on how to
create a blog page and how to
contribute with personal entries. He also provided the group
with the same login and password, to post on the official project
page https://imaginationatwork2017.wordpress.com/.
Afterwards the participants, with the help of mobile phones,
subscribed to Instagram and started uploading the logos (made
by the students) for the logo competition, in order to give students the opportunity to vote not only for the
most representative but also for the cutest logo; deadline to be on November 17th.
Eventually the group, under Alberto’s guidance, created an account on Calameo, a publishing platform for
interactive publications and e-books, to upload the presentations previously illustrated by all the partners.

After lunch at the canteen, back to work: the national teams were
split into three smaller groups, each of them brainstorming and
providing its own questions and hypothesis in order to create a
questionnaire, to make the students research the labour market.
Then the three groups rejoined to share and discuss about the
results and put together the final version of the questionnaire
(which will be definitively arranged by November 17th by the
Austrian and Polish partners).
At the end of the working day, all the partners discussed about arranging
student’s groups, dates and tasks for the next two meetings, which will take
place in Ireland (27th February to 5th March 2018 ) and then in Italy (20th
April to 26th April).
October 21st, 2017 – Cultural Day
The group left to Aveiro, the “Portuguese Venice”, so called due to its system of canals and boats (called
“Moliceiro”), similar to the Italian city of Venice.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP: imagination@work – TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING 6
All the national teams were fascinated by the city's immense beauty and by the façades of churches, palaces,
ordinary houses, restaurants, bars and even railways or subway stations made of azulejos, typical Portuguese
decorated tiles.
Following some city sightseeing, the participants crossed the channel to the
natural reserve of São Jacinto.
Later, after enjoying lunch in a local restaurant, the group crossed
the channel again and visited the beaches of Costa Nova and Barra.
After such a pleasant and exciting day, the group returned to the
hotel, for the last dinner together and a glass of Porto.
On behalf of all the Erasmus Plus team members, let’s say a great
“obrigado” to Alberto Cardoso and Portugal! Thanks for your
hospitality and kindness!
See you all in Ireland!
