• For what? to award scholarships to students (Masters and Doctorates) and to staff.
• Source of funding? Instrument for Development cooperation (for SA mobility) and for cooperation with industrialised countries and other high income countries (for EU mobility).
• Since when? 4th year of implementation.
Erasmus Mundus: 2011-2014• About EUR 28 million (including EUR 4.4 million
for EU mobility).• South African beneficiaries from Target
group 1 and Target group 2.• 537 beneficiaries: 278 Masters, 150 doctoral
and 109 university staff.• 13 to 33 European universities formally involved.• 10 to 16 South African universities formally
involved.
