Which poses thequestions...• If ISLPR has, for the last thirty years, been the basis forthe in-house testing and teaching of a range of candidatesfrom academic, non-academic, migrant, refugee, indigenousand vocational backgrounds, is it time to formally registerISLPR as a nationally accredited testing system, governedby an independent body which can moderate and validatetesting and resulting?

• Is it time for the nation to formally recognise and acceptISLPR as an acceptable alternative for institutional orimmigration requirements?

• Is it time to make language testing fairer for non-academicand vocational candidates, so that they too, can accesstesting which can indicate their true ability to communicate intheir chosen field?
