E.O.P. launch meeting in Govan High School – teachers from Holland, Germany, Spain, Finland, Serbia and Scotland.

Pupils involved in EOP will use the website to create an electronic CV and a portfolio of their experiences and achievements for both personal development and employment purposes.

Pupils will also communicate with each other (in English) to share experiences and compare cultures. There will be opportunities for some pupils to participate in exchange visits with partner schools.

The primary client group will be pupils engaged in prevocational courses - which are often not accredited by national agencies.

Getting to know you – Govan High & German students

The six schools are using EOP in a variety of ways. For some it is primarily a language project. For others - Holland and Scotland – the emphasis is more on employability skills and competences.

Getting to work – Europe Online Portfolio workshop

Govan High School has become an EOP member because it has a substantial number of pupils engaged in prevocational courses who will benefit from this project.

International education is also high on the school’s agenda – cultural exchange is an important element of the project.

EOP also has many tie-ins to initiatives like Curriculum for Excellence, Determined to Succeed, Welfare to Work and Making Choices, all of which are informing developments in the school.
