Euthanasia

Euthanasia is a practice contrary to both God’s law and most

governmental laws.

Active euthanasia is not the same as

choosing to terminate

artificial life support.

Euthanasia places the decision to end life within the hands of

individuals.

Termination of artificial life support allows for God’s healing and

intervention.

The Bible gives us scriptural

answers to such difficult

topics.

In addition to Biblical answers, euthanasia is against the law in

every state except Oregon.

Death with Dignity Act

• Enacted in October 1997• Allows terminally ill Oregon citizens to end

their own lives by lethal injection.• The law says the injection must be voluntary,

self-administered, and prescribed by a physician for only this purpose.

• Not a mandatory law• Choice for the terminally ill person only

Euthanasia??

It is natural to seek answers from the Lord.

It is natural to become frustrated.It is natural not to understand

HIS decisions.

Remember the agony experienced by the Lord Jesus in the Garden of

Gethsemane on His way to Calvary.

Not my will but thine be done.

Christians must understand…

active euthanasia and the removal of

artificial life support are two

very different things.

As believers we must have the faith of the mustard seed,

understanding that if it is HIS will HE can move that mountain.

Even in our sinful selfish natures,

God understands every tear that

falls….bothyours and mine.
