On Monday, April 25, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. Natasha Poholka presents
her senior voice recital. She will be performing I Dreamed a Dream
from Les Miserables, Habanera from Carmen, O Divine Redeemer by
Charles Gounod, and He Shall Feed His Flock by Handel.
No tickets are required.
Jeong Min Kim Violin Recital
On Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 P.M. Jeong Min Kim presents her senior
violin recital.
No tickets are required.
Katharine Drexler Senior Voice Recital
On Wednesday, April 27 at 7:00 P.M. Katharine Drexler presents her
Senior Voice Recital. She comes from Boston, Massachusetts. She
transferred to Andrews with her fiancée just this past year, and has
enjoyed taking voice lessons from Ms. Julia Lindsay since then.
On her senior recital, Katharine will perform, among others, Song to the
Moon from Rusalka by AntoninDvorak, Der Knabe und das Immlein by

Helen Woldemichael Graduate Conducting Recital
Helen Woldemichael presents a graduate conducting recital on
Thursday, April 28, at 4:00 P.M. The I Cantori (one of the choral
ensemble in AU Music department) will present works by Mozart,
Brahms, Palestrina, Stroope, traditional Polynesian song and more
under the direction of Helen Woldemichael, a conductor from Ethiopia.
Helen studied the art of conducting for the past two and half years
under Stephen Zork director of Choral Studies at Andrews University.
No tickets are required.
Denny Hong Senior Piano Recital
On Friday, April 29 at 10:00 A.M. Denny Hong presents his senior
piano recital. Hong comes from San Francisco, California and studes
with Chi Yong Yun at Andrews University. He will be performing works
by Haydn, Prokofiev, Chopin and Beethoven.

Ezra Haugabrooks Graduate Viola Recital
On Friday, April 29 at 1:00 P.M. Ezra Haugabrooks presents his
graduate viola recital.
No tickets are required.
Teresa Macdonald Senior Voice Recital
On Friday, April 20 at 4:00 P.M. Teresa Macdonald presents her
senior voice recital. Teresa Macdonald presents her Senior Voice
Recital. Mcdonald comes from Seattle, Washington and has studied for
the entirety of her degree with Julia Lindsay.
She will be performing The Doll Song from Tales of Hoffmann by
Offenbach, Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid by Alan
Menken, Green Finch and Linnet Bird from Sweeney Todd by Stephen
Sondheim, a variety of French Impressionistic pieces and more.
No tickets are required.

Music student, Katharine Drexler presents her Senior Voice Recital.
Katharine Drexler comes from Bolton, Massachusetts. Shetransferred to Andrews with her fiancée just this past year,and has enjoyed taking voice lessons from Ms. Julia Lindsaysince then.
On her senior recital, Katharine will perform, among others,Song to the Moon from Rusalka by AntoninDvorak, Der Knabeund das Immlein by Hugo Wolf, and two English Folk Songstitled Scarbourough Fair and Mairi’s Wedding arrainged forvoice, violin, and Piano by her mother Dr. Connie R. Drexler.
Katharine Drexler grew up in a family of musicians and knewalmost from day one that she wanted to be a singer. Although she had already taken violin lessons for eight years,she began voice lessons at the age of twelve. By the timeshe was fifteen, she was studying with renowned opera singer Faith Esham, whom she studiedwith for the next three and a half years. Throughout her junior high, high school, and into hercollege years, Katharine has toured with her great Aunt Dr. Rittenhouse and the New EnglandYouth Ensemble as a violinist and vocal soloist; visiting such countries as Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica,Greece, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, South Africa, Zambia, Batswana, Zimbabwe, England,Germany, Austria, and extensively throughout the United States. Katharine attended SouthernAdventist University for three years where she studied with Dr. Julie Penner before transferring toAndrews University where she now studies with Ms. Julia Lindsay. Recently, Katharine performedthe role of Belle in three productions of “The Stingiest Man in Town” with the Andrews Universityvocal department. She was also a finalist in the Andrews University Young Artists competition,and received an honorable mention in Kalamazoo Bach Festival’s 2011 Young VocalistsCompetition. Currently, Katharine is finishing her last semester at Andrews University, and willbe graduating in May with a Bachelors of Music with an emphasis on vocal performance. Afterthat, she plans to marry her fiancée Hal Conley, and begin an accelerated Bachelor of nursingdegree, and then pursue a Masters in Voice. She would love nothing more than to have a regionalopera career, performing and singing for the love and joy of it.
