The Autonomous University of Barcelona also known as UAB is a public university
mostly located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, near the city of Barcelona in Catalonia,
Spain.
As of 2016, it consists of 57 departments in the experimental, life, social and
human sciences, spread among 13 faculties/schools. All these centers together
award a total of 85 qualifications in the form of first degrees, diplomas, and
engineering degrees. Moreover, almost 80 doctoral programs, and more than 80
other postgraduate programs are offered. UAB has more than 40,000 students
and more than 3,600 academic and research staff.
The UAB is a pioneering institution in terms of fostering research. There are many
research institutes in the campus, as well as other research centers, technical
support services and service-providing laboratories.

The EXECUTIVE MASTER IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (International Edition)
is an initiative of the Department of Business at the UAB. It uses their own resources
along with academic professionals with experience, in order to provide to students the
best possible deal by combining the theoretical skills to their practical application.
The Program Educational objectives are based in:
· To develop flexible, modern models of company management by working to
provide appropriate solutions to global business.
· To provide the knowledge and skills for Business Managers.
· To deal effectively with administration and to manage businesses in an
international context.
The EXECUTIVE MASTER IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (International
Edition) bases its quality system on the following aspects:
· A limited number of students.

· Providing an integrated system of values, skills and knowledge in order to face
the challenges arising from the professional development of the companies in

At the same time the world is suffering from economic crisis, companies still value the
skills that a candidate with and professional master degree for what he can brings to
the table. And at the same time employers plan to pay those they hire with a
professional master degree nearly twice as much as those with only an undergraduate

The Executive Master in Business Management (International Edition) consist of
60 ECTS (European credit transfer System) divided into 3 basic Modules, in addition to
the internship and the Master thesis
1. PROGRAM MODULES:
A) FOUNDATION MODULE
Advanced study for business managers: economy, communication, quantitative
methods and finance.
B) CORE MODULE
Specific business-management knowledge and skills pertaining to operational markets
and human-resource policies.
C) ADVANCED MODULE
Advanced and specific knowledge for business management in the context of today’s
global economy.
2. INTERNSHIP:
Students are required to successfully complete an internship as a part of the Master.
There are a minimum of two months to half a day of internship on any of the areas of
the company related to the program. The program coordinates this activity. The
companies participating in the program are from the Barcelona area well related to
UAB. The companies and partners agree to the participation of Master students regard
to their stay in character training in a strict academic and non-labor.
3. MASTER THESIS:
With the Master Thesis, students are developing the acquired capabilities and skills, in a
professional project, chosen following their own interests. The support of the Thesis
Supervisor adds maximum value on it. It is defended in an oral presentation and project
document delivered in front the corresponding academic court.

Work Type and Activity
Given the time plan which this master classes are taking place, the volume
of work is virtually on regime of exclusivity for all participants, based on the
following:
· Active participation in classes sessions: The professional character of the
Master calls for a high dedication to the preparation of cases and reading of
texts necessary for the completion of the analysis and understanding of the
contents of the subjects.
· Preparation and delivery of presentations and practical work that teachers of
the relevant issues are entrusted.
· Conduct business practices with tutor assessment, with grade value on
dedication and outcomes of the internship.
· Participation in the conference - seminars - visits to companies organized by the
Master.

Alumni
The Executive Master in Business Management (International Edition) is developed in
a multicultural environment. We support students’ equal opportunities independently of their origin, gender, religion, or other aspects.
Our alumni from past editions of the Master came from more than 25 different countries around the world. The gender percentage of our previous students is 49% and 51% of female and male respectively.
Most of our alumni have a degree in business economics or engineering, however we have also accepted students from a wide range of fields as law, pharmacy, international relations, political sciences, arts or mathematics among others.
Regarding the professional experience of our alumni, they have been working in accounting, finance, marketing, consultancy, human resources and much more fields before being enrolled in the Master.

Admission Admission
In order to evaluate your candidature for our Master Program, we require you to send us the following documents:
1. Letter of intention explaining the reasons of your interest. 2. Your Curriculum Vitae. 3. An academic record.
Executive Master in Business Management (International Edition) next edition is starting in October. Please find herewith the explanations of next steps and schedules regarding it: Classes will start in October ’17 and finish in September ‘18 from Monday to Thursday from 4.45 pm to 9 pm. These represent 500 hours of lecture and 125 physical attendance days. Classes will take place at UAB Campus. (http://www.uab.es/english/)
1. Our program has 3 modules and accounts 20 different subjects on 25 hours of lectures each one. IMBM is supported by a high qualified level of professors for developing each subject.
2. More than 200 hours for in-company internship practices are also included as well as the applied graduation mandatory research project. IMBM will help students in the process of selection and tutoring those activities.
