EXHIBITOR PROSPECTUS

As CARVE 2017 celebrates its tenth annual conference, it is proud to introduce a new, innovative program designed
specifically for Fellows in Training. The Fellows at CARVE program brings all of the insights and interactivity of CARVE
to a new audience. Fellows will experience the spirit of cross-collaboration so important in clinical practice, gaining a
better understanding of the intertwined roles of interventional radiology, vascular surgery and interventional cardiology.
This invitation-only educational event kicks off with a welcome reception and dinner, followed by a full-day of didactic
presentations, panel discussions, debates, and a structured technology exhibition showcase. On day three, the program
dovetails nicely with the kick-off of the CARVE meeting which features a Fellows Case Competition. All Fellows are invited
to extend their experience and participate in CARVE with complimentary registration.
Industry Support The Minneapolis Radiology & Vascular Research Foundation is delighted to provide this overview to potential industry
partners and welcomes the opportunity to discuss the program in greater detail. Support is critical and enables up to
twenty applicants the opportunity to attend the Fellows at CARVE program by providing travel allowance and lodging.
Audience
This program is designed for Fellows training in the fields of vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and interventional
cardiology, and senior-level vascular surgery residents. A demographically diverse group of approximately twenty
applicants will be invited to participate in the program.
Program Format
This program features lectures supplemented with expert panel discussions, debates, and networking opportunities to allow
interactive learning and an in-depth understanding of the program’s core concepts.
Technology Exhibition Exhibitors have the unique opportunity to showcase their innovations during a technology exhibition with extensive one-on-one with Fellows. Fellows will be encouraged to interact with all exhibitors.
• At the beginning of the technology exhibition, each Fellow will be given a “report card” that can be stamped by booth representatives after completion of the booth activities. The report card serves as an incentive to encourage Fellows to visit with all exhibitors.
• In a structured fashion, Fellows will rotate to each booth where they will have exposure to featured devices and technology.
• Each rotation will last 20 minutes.
• At the completion of the exhibition, all completed “report cards” will be entered into a drawing for a prize.

Industry Dinners
As all attendees will come from different areas of training and specialties, we aim to provide exposure to technology and devices they
may not have seen or heard of in the past. In addition to the technology exhibition, 2-3 Fellows will be paired up with an organization
they may not have had much exposure to during their training thus far. Each participating industry organization will then be
responsible for continuing conversation over dinner. Each participating organization will be responsible for arranging their own dinner
reservations.
Case Competition
An anticipated highlight of the program is the “The Best and The Complicated” Case Competition. In addition to attending lectures and
the technology exhibition, each Fellow must present a short case to qualify for travel reimbursement.
• Each Fellow will be prepared with two case presentations, a “best case” and a case where an unexpected complication occurred, highlighting how the Fellow got out of trouble. Which case the Fellow will present will be randomly chosen on the spot.
• Fellows will have five minutes to present their case, followed by up to three minutes of questioning by a panel of judges.
• After every Fellow has presented their case, the judges deliberate and will announce the top three case presentations. Prizes will be awarded.
• All cases must be endovascular, either arterial or venous in nature. Coronary cases or open surgical cases will be
disqualified. Hybrid cases are permitted.
