Degree Requirements

• Minimum of 124 credits

• Minimum GPA 2.0

• ED Majors 2.7, Nursing 2.5, Athletic Training 2.5

• 39 Credits at 300 level or above

Bachelor Science

• Intermediate Language Requirement• Beginning and Continuing (2 courses)

• Use placement scores in advising folder as a guide

Bachelor Arts

• 10 Credit requirement

• No more than 2 areas

Double Major• Student receives 1 diploma

• 1 Major must be declared as primary • ( Identifies home college and degree requirements)

• Both major requirements are met

Double Degree• Student receives 2 diplomas

• Minimum of 157 credits (124+33 additional courses)

University Studies

• Sequential• CWRR I (IN150), CWRR II (IN151), U.S. Cultures (IN250),

U.S. Structures (IN251), and Global Studies (IN350)

• Non-Sequential• Creative Arts• Public Speaking• Quantitative Reasoning• Natural Science with Lab• 2 International Cultures & Structures (ICS) Courses

• If a student is honors, see honors-specific course criteria

Double Dipping

• Sequential courses cannot be reused to satisfy non-sequential requirements• For example: IN350 will not meet Global Studies and ICS

• May not double dip IN150/151

Honors / JMSHonors students who do not continue in the JMS program

• IN202 fulfills the Creative Arts requirement

• Depending on course content, IN203 may fulfill the literature requirement for BA students, the historical studies requirement for A&S students, or to meet US Cultures (IN250) requirement

• IN204 fulfills the Natural Science requirement, depending upon course content.

• Depending on course content, many IN206 Social Science Honors Seminars may fulfill the US Studies requirement (IN251)

• IN207 fulfills the quantitative reasoning requirement, depending on course content

• Courses not meeting one of these requirements may be used as an elective

Transfer Students

• US Bachelor Degree waives all University Studies

• Associate in Arts/Science waives University Studies, must take IN350

• International Degree confirm with Registrar

• After 66 hours transfer no longer accept community college credits

Waiving/Substituting Requirements• Chair of a department may waive or substitute a

course to meet a major requirement

• Dean of College/School may waive or substitute course for the degree requirement

• Waiver/Substitutions must be in writing (email) to the Registrar
