MONITOR FAULTSMONITOR FAULTS
Power light does not come on when monitor is switched on. Power light is on or flashing, but monitor is still blank. Monitor display is wildly inaccurate (nothing can be made
out at all.) Monitor display is slightly inaccurate (the proper display is
there, but corrupted somehow.) Display is not stable. Diagonal lines are present. Screen is flickering. No control over brightness. Focus is not proper.

Switch off the monitor before switching off mains.
Use dust cover for monitor when it is off.Do not put monitor near to strong magnetic
field, which may cause improper deflection.Do not put paper or anything on top of
monitor.
PRINTER FAULTSPRINTER FAULTS
The power light does not come on when the printer is plugged in.
One cannot print plain text properly from DOS. One can print from DOS, but cannot print properly
from Windows or a graphical program. The printer keeps jamming or will not even start to
feed. The printer keeps saying It needs to change the
paper type. The printer says it needs toner, ink or paper when it
doesn't. The printer prints same document over and over

Do not place the printer near heat generating machine, such as heaters and furnaces.
Use quality ribbon to avoid damage to print head.
Use the dust cover for the printer ,when not used.
Check paper feed path, platen and ribbon path with soft cloth.
Lubricate mechanical parts.
KEYBOARD FAULTSKEYBOARD FAULTS
The keyboard gives extremely spurious codes when something is typed.
The keyboard is giving slightly incorrect keystrokes for some keys.
The Num Lock, Caps Lock, or Scroll Lock lights are on constantly or off constantly.
Keys keep getting stuck, or do not depress correctly.

SOLUTION FOR KEYBOARD FAULTS
Handle keyboard gently and carefully.Do not spill liquids on the keyboard.Do not keep anything on the keyboard.Do not play with the keyboard after
powering-off the system.Periodically, clean interior of keyboard with
a miniature vacuum cleaner or turn it upside down to blow out accumulated dirt.
Use dust cover for keyboard when not in used.
MOUSE FAULTS
The mouse does not appear on the screen at all, or will not move a jot, or the mouse driver will not load.
The mouse sticks or jumps a little. The mouse does not move horizontally, or it
does not move vertically. The mouse buttons do not click properly. The mouse jumps about the screen wildly
when I use it.
SOLUTION FOR MOUSE FAULTS
Check your software supports the type of mouse you have, and the driver is correctly installed.
Clean the mouse rollers. Check the appropriate optical sensor. Check the micro switch inside the button. Check the mouse is set correctly to IBM or
PS/2.
