The FD’s low pressure drop (Δp) reduces the load on the compressor and allows you to save considerable amounts of energy.
Traditional dryer Atlas Copco FD
LOW PRESSURE DROP
• Energy-saving heat exchanger technology (according to model).
• Integrated low velocity water separator.
• Large diameter connection pipes for optional integrated fi lters.
• A lower pressure drop leads to increased energy savings!
SAVER CYCLE CONTROL
• Adjustment of working cycle to actual load results in signifi cant energy savings.
• Reduced power consumption in case of partial load.
• Relative humidity of compressed air on dryer outlet is kept below 50% even when cycling.
Atlas Copco’s FD dryers are able to adapt their working cycle to the real load they are under, saving signifi cant amounts of energy.
MAXIMUM SAVINGS WITH VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE
The VSD (Variable Speed Drive) controlled FD refrigerant dryers exactly match the energy input to the need defi ned by the water load to the dryer. When the water load decreases, so will the speed of the compressor… and the energy consumption of the FD dryer. No energy will be wasted, which results typically in savings of more than 50% when compared to conventional dryers.
