FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Part 4

SEE YOUR ADVANTAGE!

October 16, 2016

Rosh Hashanah,

The Feast of Trumpets

(OCT 3-4)

The shofar is associated with

the jubilee year in which,

every fifty years, Jewish law

provided for the release of all

slaves, land, and debts

32 From the tribe of Issachar,

there were 200 leaders of the

tribe with their relatives. All

these men understood the

signs of the times and knew

the best course for Israel to

take.

1 Chron 12:32 (NLT)

RABBI JUDAH BEN SAMUEL

1. Yom Kippur—

Day of Atonement (Oct 12)

A screen, divider, or

separator that HIDES

The Veil

II. THE TORN VEIL

50And Jesus cried out again

with a loud voice, and yielded

up His spirit. 51

Then, behold,

the veil of the temple was

torn in two from top to

bottom; and the earth quaked,

and the rocks were split…

Matthew 27:50-51 (NKJV)

60 feet long, and 30 feet

wide, the thickness of the

palm of the hand, and in 72

squares, joined

together;…took 300 priests

to manipulate…

THE TORN VEIL is

your proof that GOD

accepted the

sacrifice of Jesus

for you and for me!

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

17The will goes into effect

only after the person’s death.

While the person who made it

is still alive, the will cannot

be put into effect. 18

That is

why even the first covenant

was put into effect with the

blood of an animal. …

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

20Then he said, “This blood

confirms the covenant God has

made with you.” 21

And in the

same way, he sprinkled blood on

the Tabernacle and on everything

used for worship. 22

In fact,

according to the law of Moses,

nearly everything was purified

with blood.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

For without the

shedding of blood,

there is no

forgiveness.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

23That is why the Tabernacle

and everything in it, which

were copies of things in

heaven, had to be purified by

the blood of animals.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

But the real things in heaven

had to be purified with far

better sacrifices than the

blood of animals. 24

For Christ

did not enter into a holy place

made with human hands,

which was only a copy of the

true one in heaven.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

He entered into heaven itself to

appear now before God on our

behalf. 25

And he did not enter

heaven to offer himself again and

again, like the high priest here on

earth who enters the Most Holy

Place year after year with the

blood of an animal.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

. 26If that had been

necessary, Christ would

have had to die again and

again, ever since the world

began.

HEBREWS 9:17-19,20-28 NLT

But now, once for all time, he has

appeared at the end of the age to

remove sin by his own death as a

sacrifice. 27

And just as each person

is destined to die once and after that

comes judgment, 28

so also Christ

died once for all time as a sacrifice to

take away the sins of many people.

He will come again, not to deal with

our sins, but to bring salvation to all

who are eagerly waiting for him.

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)

14 Seeing then that we have a great

High Priest who has passed through

the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold fast our confession. 15

For

we do not have a High Priest who

cannot sympathize with our

weaknesses, but was in all points

tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16

Let us therefore come boldly to the

throne of grace, that we may obtain

mercy and find grace to help in time

of need.

Hebrews 10:19-23 (NKJV)

19 Therefore, brethren, having

boldness to enter the Holiest by

the blood of Jesus, 20

by a new

and living way which He

consecrated for us, through the

veil, that is, His flesh, 21

and

having a High Priest over the

house of God, 22

let us draw near

with a true heart in full

assurance of faith

Hebrews 10:19-23 (NKJV)

… 23

Let us hold fast the

confession of our hope

without wavering, for He

who promised is faithful.

III. FEAST OF TABERNACLES,

INGATHERING, BOOTHS

(OCT 17-18)

TABERNACLES IS:

1.THE FEAST OF THE BOOK

2. THE FEAST OF THE NATIONS

Genesis 12:3 (NKJV)

3 I will bless those who bless

you, And I will curse him who

curses you; And in you all the

families of the earth shall be

blessed."

Deuteronomy 28:10 (NKJV)

10 Then all peoples of the

earth shall see that you are

called by the name of the

LORD, and they shall be afraid

of you

Isaiah 56:7 (NKJV)

For My house shall be

called a house of prayer

for all nations."

3. GOD’s HOUSE is the place

of God’s PRESENCE and

OUTPOURING to ALL THE

WORLD.

Zechariah 14:8-9 (NKJV)

8 And in that day…living

waters shall flow from

Jerusalem…9

And the LORD

shall be King over all the

earth...

Zechariah 14:16-17 (NKJV)

16 And it shall come to pass

that everyone who is left of

all the nations which came

against Jerusalem shall go up

from year to year to worship

the King, the LORD of hosts,

and to keep the Feast of

Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:16-17 (NKJV)

17 And it shall be that

whichever of the families of

the earth do not come up to

Jerusalem to worship the

King, the LORD of hosts, on

them there will be no rain…

Ezekiel 47:1 (NKJV)

1 Then he brought me back to

the door of the temple; and

there was water, flowing from

under the threshold of the

temple toward the east…

Ezekiel 47:8-9 (NKJV)

8 Then he said to me: "This

water flows toward the

eastern region, goes down

into the valley, and enters the

sea. When it reaches the sea,

its waters are healed. 9

And it

shall be that every living thing

that moves,

Ezekiel 47:8-9 (NKJV)

wherever the rivers go, will

live. There will be a very great

multitude of fish, because

these waters go there; for

they will be healed, and

everything will live wherever

the river goes…

Ezekiel 47:12 (NKJV)

12 Along the bank of the river, on

this side and that, will grow all

kinds of trees used for food; their

leaves will not wither, and their

fruit will not fail. They will bear

fruit every month, because their

water flows from the sanctuary.

Their fruit will be for food, and

their leaves for medicine."

Revelation 7:15-17 (NKJV)

15 Therefore they are before the

throne of God, and serve Him day

and night in His temple. And He

who sits on the throne will dwell

among them. 16

They shall neither

hunger anymore nor thirst

anymore; the sun shall not strike

them, nor any heat;

Revelation 7:15-17 (NKJV)

17 for the Lamb who is in the

midst of the throne will

shepherd them and lead them

to living fountains of waters.

And God will wipe away every

tear from their eyes."

Hebrew meaning really says,

“THE ONE seated upon the

throne will

ERECT A BOOTH OVER THEM

with His presence…”
