Acts as traditional ESC. Clears everything out and brings to wake up screen

This is your ‘Enter’ key. It must be used to run a function by pressing it after the command.

HELP key has multiple functions.

The Menu key is equivalent to the ‘Back’ button to return to the previous screen.

Allows you to switch between 4 Bloomberg Screens.

Access the next/last screen in a certain function.

Returns the cursor to the command line at the top of the current screen.

Allows you to print the current screen, or a number of pages.

Finding Information• Helpful News Functions

– NI <GO> - search for and display news stories, research reports, and multimedia presentations corresponding to a specific topic.

– NI {topic code} <Go> - shortcut to specific topic. For example, to specify “odd” stories, enter NI ODD <Go>

– TOP <GO> - displays headlines of the day’s top stories from BLOOMBERG NEWS® by category (Geographic region, market sector, or topic) of your choice).

– READ <GO> - displays the most popular news articles on Bloomberg Professional® service during a specific time period.

– AV <GO> - provides a portal to Bloomberg’s multilingual television and radio programs with direct access to reports, interviews, as well as new conferences, events, podcasts, and teleconferences covering business, government, sports etc..

– BKMK <GO> - to bookmark news stories you have read

– MOST <GO> - displays the days most active stocks by volume. You can use it to gain insight into market sentiment and identify potential opportunities to profit from changing trends in the trading activity of individual equities.

– WEI <GO> - Use WEI to compare regional indices against one another and to determine current and historical performance levels.

– EMEQ <GO> - Compare emerging markets equity indices against one another and to determine current and historical performance levels.

– EQS <GO> - Equity security screening, to find a list of stocks that match investment or analysis criteria

– WB <GO> - Use WB to display, analyze, and compare regional bond data.
