FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM AX 272 F

c.) PRE-ACTION SYSTEM

(For Electrical Substation)

b.) STANDPIPE SYSTEM

a.) SPINKLER SYSTEM 4 ZONE

SPRINKLER SYSTEM 4 ZONES

ALARM VALVE STATION

STANDPIPE SYSTEM

CLASS III SYSTEM IS PROVIDED

Class III Systems Provided 1 ½”

hose stations to supply water for use

by trained building occupants and

2½” hose connections to supply a

larger volume of water for use by

Fire Department.

FIRE HOSE STATION ADVANTAGES

• Quick Suppression

• One Person Operation

• Minimal Water Damage

• Occupant Safety and Rescue

TYPICAL CLASS III FIRE HOSE STATION

OPERATION OF FIRE HOSE STATIONS

1. Open valve completely

2. Pull hose entirely off rack

3. Open nozzle

THREE STEPS FOR OPERATION

1. Open valve completely.

2. Pull hose entirely off rack(or else water will not flow)

3. Open nozzle. Water will flow when hose is entirely off rack & nozzle is open.

PREACTION SYSTEMFOR

ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION

• Preaction System Control Panel

• Smoke detectors

• Manual Pull Station (Electric)

• Alarm Bell

• Sounder cum flasher

PREACTION SYSTEMCOMPONENTS

• Deluge Valve w/ Double Interlock Trim

• Isolation Valve• Pressure Switch (Air)• Pressure Switch (Water)• Air Compressor• Air Maintenance Device

PREACTION SYSTEM COMPONENTS

PREACTION SYSTEM

SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

Smoke Detectors (Zone-1) and Pressure Switch (Zone-2) Monitoring the System Air Pressure in the piping are wired in a cross zoned configuration

Activation of smoke detector or operation

of a sprinkler causes following.

• A visual indication on the System Control Panel

• Audible alarm from bell

• Send “Fire” indication to the Fire Alarm System

PREACTION SYSTEM SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

PREACTION SYSTEM SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

Activation of smoke detector & operation

of a sprinkler causes following.

• Visual indications on the System Control Panel

• Audible alarm from bell & sounder cum flasher

• Deluge valve operates

• Water flows in to the system piping and discharges through the ‘opened’ sprinkler.

Manual Operation

• System can be operated manually by operating the Pull Station (Electric or Hydraulic)

• Visual indications on the System Control Panel

• Audible alarm from bell & sounder cum flasher

• Deluge valve operates

• Water flows in to the system piping (if sprinkler is not activated, piping will be filled with water)

PREACTION SYSTEM SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

Operation of Air Compressor

Air compressor maintains constant air pressure

in the system piping.
