Fred Flintstone is the main character. He
was an accident-prone bronto crane
operator at the Slate Rock and Gravel
Company and the head of the Flintstone
clan. He is easy to get angry at trivia, but
he is a very loving husband and father.
He’s very good at bowling and he’s a
member of the Water Buffalos.
Wilma is Fred's wife. She is more
intelligent and level-headed than her
husband, though she has a habit of
spending money (with her and Betty’s
catchphrase being “Da-da-da duh da-
da CHARGE-IT!!”) She is often foiled to
Fred’s poor Behavior.
Dino was a sauropod dinosaur, he is their
pet who barks and generally acts like a
dog. Dino loves to run and knock Fred
down out of excitement and licks him
repeatedly.
Baby Puss is the Flintstones’ pet saber-tooth
cat, who is rarely seen in the actual series,
but he always seen throwing Fred out of the
house during the end. It causes Fred to
pound repeatedly and yell for “WILMA!!”
Barney Rubble is the secondary main
character and Fred’s best friend and his
neighbor. His occupation is, for the most
part of the series, unknown, though the
later series depict him working at the
same query as Fred. He shares the same
interest as Fred like bowling and the
Water Buffalo
Betty Rubble is Barneys wife and Wilma’s
best friend. She too has a habit like
Wilma and she likes to spend money.
Bamm-Bamm Rubble is the Rubbles’
abdominally strong adopted son, whom
they adopt during the fourth season; his
name comes from the only phrase he ever
speaks as a baby: “Bamm-Bamm!!”
Hoppy is the Rubbles’ pet Hopparoo (a
kangaroo/dinosaur combination creature)
whom they adopted in the beginning of
the fifth season. He baby sits the kids and
carry them around in his pouch.
Mr. Slate is Fred’s hot-tempered boss at the
stone quarry. Though he was friends with
Fred and Barney, he is often not impressed
with Fred’s antics at the quarry, and has
fired him on several occasions, only to give
him his job back at the end.
Arnold is the Flintstone’s paper boy. Fred
despises Arnold because he always threw
the paper in Fred’s face unintentionally.
