Healing Therapeutic Servicesfor children struggling with
depression, anxiety, trauma or
other mental health challenges
A parent wouldn’t think twice about getting help for a child suffering from a physical injury.
Washburn ensures parents and professionals have a resource to help kids hurting “on the inside” — because children’s mental health is as important as their physical health.
Washburn Center for Children is a leading children’s mental health center. Our therapists are
experts in identifying and treating children with social, emotional or behavioral problems, such as:
attention deficit disorder, anxiety, trauma, depression, parent/child conflicts or grief.
Fees
Washburn accepts payments from most health care
plans, including Medical Assistance. Washburn
works with families to ensure that services are
affordable to everyone. Specific questions
regarding fees, insurance coverage, sliding fee
scales and payment options are discussed during
the intake process.

Support a Critical Community Resource
As a nonprofit, Washburn’s work
is made possible by the generosity
of people who believe all children
deserve the chance to grow into
happy, healthy adults.
Charitable contributions from
individuals, businesses and foundations
provide critical therapeutic services
and are a wise investment in our
community’s social and economic
future. Your generosity gives children,
and the community, a chance to grow
stronger — because when a child
heals, the community heals too.

Does My Child Need Help?
One out of five children will experience mental
health challenges, but knowing when to seek
help can be overwhelming.
Does your child have:
q challenges with sleeping, nightmares or a
hard time falling asleep?
q worries that make it hard to play, learn or
follow directions?
q frequent feelings of anger, irritability or rage?
Has your child:
q witnessed a traumatic event?
q experienced significant loss, such as a death
in the family or divorce?
q been encouraged by a teacher or pediatrician
to complete a behavioral, emotional or
developmental assessment?
If you answered “yes,” and your child is struggling at home
or in school, Washburn is a place to turn for help.
Washburn’s diagnostic assessments provide a comprehensive
understanding of a child’s social, emotional and behavioral
development to determine a path for healing.
“Washburn provided us with the tools to not only help my child, but also to be a stronger family.”
