"Pastoralism(caIleherding)hasalonghistoryinKenya.AroundA.D.1000,aclanfromNorthAfricacalledtheHimaintroducedcaIleherding.Bythe1600s,groupsliketheMasaiandTurkanaatebeefexclusively.CaIleprovidedmeat,milk,buIer,andblood.
