Robin Partington ArchitectsRobin Partington founded the practice in 2009 with the aim of combining the best of a design-led approach to architecture with a detailed understanding of the commercial factors that underpin every successful development. Former director at Foster + Partners and Hamiltons, Robin was responsible for the iconic Gherkin skyscraper based in London’s financial district, Holmewood – a private house set in the Chiltern hills – and the Strata residential tower at Elephant & Castle, to name only a few. Today, Robin Partington Architects currently work on a wide range of commissions from private houses to large commercial and mixed use projects across the UK. The practice is responsible for Park House, currently under construction on Oxford Street, the masterplan for the regeneration of Shepherd’s Bush Market and of course the development of Merchant Square, Paddington. Robin and the team are passionate about diversity in design. Once there is the understanding of what a building needs to do, and how its occupants want to use it, the team work hard at exploring what it will look like. It’s all about rigour, understanding and collaboration. Every building has a new solution.
